A successful bid to host the highest regional event in 2024, its athletes returning with hardware from international outings, and successfully hosting its statutory competitions albeit amid the pandemic, were the highlights of bodybuilding for the year 2021.
The body is now looking to hit the ground running in 2022 with the Novices/Mr Linden event tentatively set for mid-March.
According to President of the Guyana Bodybuilding Fitness Federation, Keavon Bess, plans are also in the pipeline to further decentralise the sport with the hosting of the Intermediate and the Mr Berbice Classic in June.
