Gennady Petrovich Bal'din (October 11, 1934 – February 14, 2013). The founder of sports bodybuilding in the USSR.
In the 1960s, he headed the athletics studio at the Lenin Central Stadium (Moscow).
From 1975 to 1985, he was a massage therapist for the USSR national weightlifting team.
