I remember boxing in the 1960s when the young Cassius Clay dethroned heavyweight champion Sonny Liston. It was big news all over the country and I had seen the fight’s replay on the black and white tv of our neighbor. During that time, the WBA (world boxing Association) and WBC (world boxing council) are the only respected boxing organizations. Championship fights are held for 15 rounds and the most popular venue is the Madison Square Garden in New York. Do you remember the boxer’s shorts? They were skimpy like the shorts of basketball players at that time. And the most noticeable is that boxers have clear skin, no tattoo. What else can you remember?
