Boxing judges suspended for dubious decision

The WBA middleweight championship between current champion Hassan N’Dam and challenger Ryota Murata ended in a decision verdict. N’Dam was declared winner by split decision via winning in the scorecards of 2 judges. The 3[SUP]rd[/SUP] judge had Murata ahead by 117-110, the same score given by WBA president Gilberto Mendoza. The dubious scoring by fight judges Gustavo Padilla of Panama and Hubert Earle from Canada caused them a 6-month suspension. Truly, fights now should be abbreviated to avoid the bad scoring of the judges.

Haha, true, practice makes perfect they say, but in that case the attention might be reduced true.

Well it is their job to judge, so it kind of does not make sense, but I get it. You have to have those checks and balances, but I am thinking that there is more to the story here and that some interesting pieces are being left out.
