Joe Cordina retained his British and Commonwealth lightweight titles by earning a unanimous decision to previously unbeated Gavin Gwynne. The judges gave Cordina 116-111, 116-110, and 116-110 which reflected the lack of offense and defense of Gwynne. Cordina is now looking for a world title match in his next fight.

I can't believe Gwynne thought that just because he is 6'0" that was a advantage over Joe Cordina. Although, I have to admit that I really like Gavin's rangy fighting technique. All in all it was a close fight.

Gavin Gwynne was surprised. I'm sure he didn't expect this from Joe Cordina.
