On the Wilder-Fury 2 card that is going to take place on February 22, former heavyweight titleholder Charles Martin (27-2-1, 24 KOs) will go against Gerald Washington (20-3-1, 13 KOs) in an IBF title eliminator.

I remember back in 2016 Charles Martin was the IBF titleholder when he TKOd Vyacheslav Glazkov’s due to that knee thing. The sad thing is, Martin did not hold it for long because 3 months later, Anthony Joshua KOd him in only two rounds.

Charles Martin has got another shot at the belt he once had and lost in very a short period of time back in 2016. This fight was not anything special, since the Fury-Deontay bout was all people were talking about.

Martin (28-2-1, 25 KO) pretty much controlled the fight looking for an opportunity to send Washington (20-4-1, 13 KO) to the floor. Martin got that chance during the 6th round and he did not waste it. He knocked Washington to the ground, who did manage to get back up on his feet but could not stay up, so the referee had to stop the fight.

At least Martin gets a future shot at the title he once held and lost to Anthony Joshua. Let us see what he does with this second chance.

I hope Martin is not going to let the title slip from under him, like the way he did back in 2016.

This kind of opportunities don't come that often, so it would be a shame if he wasted it.

Also, if he fucks this up, nobody will be checking for him anymore. I'm just saying.

Martin lost a lot of fans when he "fumbled" in 2016 which means there is no room for fucking up!

Charles Martin is 33 years old right now, I don't think he has much time left in boxing, to start messing around. He iss supposed to have gone through that phase in his early twenties. He should now be trying to leave a legacy that is worth mentioning.

He has no choice but to give us a performance like it's his last, because it might just turn out to be!

Now that COVID-19 has ruined all our lives, every fight has been left in limbo. This fucking sucks!
