Who can forget Maria, that lovable girl in the monastery who moved to the home of a military man to be the governess of his children? It is a simple love story of an older guy and a younger woman. But the trimmings was what made the movie great. It is a musical that featured original songs particularly the song with the basic musical notes in Doremi. It is one great movie that should be seen by the younger generation particularly the music lovers. Maria was played by Julie Andrews who performed some songs while Christopher Plummer is the debonnaire Captain that captured the heart of Maria.
