COvid UK variant is scarng the world

Cases of UK variant of covid is rising and it is getting scary so that some countries, particularly UK, has imposed a total lockdown for several days. Asian countries are implementing a travel ban of people coming from countries with high number of infection of the covid UK variant. Now the question is on the vaccine. Can it be very effective against the UK variant or are we going to need another type of vaccine to control that type of covid? Welll, sports activities are still limited until the covid leaves the earth.

WHO said that even if there is a vaccine already it will take more than a year for the covid to be gone just like what we did to polio. That problem with a pandemic is that it is worldwide. If one country is free of covid it can still be contaminated again when other countries still have the virus. For now all we can do is to keep ourselves safe from contamination. Wear a face mask and observe social distancing strictly.
