LAS VEGAS—Married professional bodybuilders Craig Titus and Kelly Ryan have been sentenced to prison in the slaying of their live-in assistant in December 2005.

The 43-year-old Titus was sentenced Friday to 21 to 55 years. He pleaded guilty May 30 to second-degree murder, kidnapping and arson in the slaying of 28-year-old Melissa James.

Ryan was sentenced to 6 to 26 years in prison. She pleaded guilty to arson and Nevada's equivalent of no contest to battery with a deadly weapon.

James' charred body was found in December 2005 in the trunk of Ryan's burned-out Jaguar sedan in the desert outside Las Vegas.

Time sure does fly. Doesn't seem like it was way back in late 2005 this all started.

They both deserve life. No amount of punishment or jail time can heal the torment the friends and family of the victim must be going through.
