Crop Cop retires due to a stroke

UFC top contender Mirko Cro Cop moved to Bellator and he had beaten Roy Nelson before a stroke hit him. It was sad for Cro Cop who didn't expect an early retirement although he had to follow doctor's orders. The stroke may have emanated from a neck injury he suffered even before his last MMA fight.

This sounds like a rare case, but I could see how this could happen, when blood is blocked to the brain or an artery could bleed into the brain. This guy could have hurt a artery in his neck somehow.
