Durban – The wife of a Durban doctor who was shot at least ten times outside his practice has described him as a well-respected member of the community.
Dr. Aadil Khan, a professional bodybuilder, was fired at by two armed individuals in the parking lot of his surgery on Randles Road at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
When his employee heard gunshots, he discovered the doctor in a pool of blood.
Khan was transported to the hospital in a private vehicle.
According to police, the males departed the area in a grey automobile.
According to the incident report, the males escaped in a VW Polo that had been parked nearby for some time.
Melissa Symonds, Khan's wife, told News 24 that her husband was recuperating in hospital and that they had no idea what motivated the assault.
She further said that her husband was on his way home when the incident occurred.
It had taken its toll on Symonds' family, particularly the couple's youngest daughter, who will turn two this month.
According to News 24, Symonds said that her husband went above and above as a doctor for the community, particularly during the Covid-19 outbreak.
He accomplished this by making home visits for folks who could not afford medical treatment.
Khan's Instagram feed demonstrates his love of bodybuilding and fitness.
He's also a health expert, and uploaded a video on seasonal allergy relief three days ago.
Police are looking into an attempted murder case.
