No female bodybuilding allowed in Iran!


President of Iran’s Bodybuilding Federation said: Female bodybuilders are not entitled to participate in any competitions.


Referring to a report about the participation of a women’s power-lifting team, coached by Shirin No-Bahari, in the international competitions in Georgia, Nasser Pour Alifar said: “We have never sent any female teams (for competitions) and we are not planning to do so in the Body Building Federation. We have repeatedly announced that women’s training in this federation is only educational.”


“This is not the first time that I am reiterating that Iran’s Body Building Federation does not have any competitions for women, and women are not allowed to take part in any,” he added. (The state-run Tasnim news agency – July 3, 2017)

Is anyone really surprised? Look at the country itself and how archaic they are in so many ways.

Iran's religion is Islam so undoubtedly, women are expected to be conservative and prohibited to join activities that display their beautiful curvature of their body. Also, they are not allowed to enter sports stadium and watch men's sports. They have fewer rights in Iran so it is not surprising to know that they are banned from becoming a female bodybuilder.

Its so sad for all the female body builders in that country if they really wanted to join in competitions. They will just have to be in other sports where they can still be fit physically.
