Good stuff. Once you work out your level it'll make it all easier.
My grip sucks too. :tear:

Veggy & Rocky: Thanks!

I'm in a bit of a dilemma that I need some advice with. I'm contemplating bulking up to around 250 pounds (perhaps more - I'm at 230 now). Problem is, I can't train my legs right now. How will this effect my bulking? Do I risk massive amounts of extra bodyfat on my leg and butt or should I just go for it and get that upperbody jacked to the max?

Anybody got some input?

20lbs is a lot of weight to add on at any time without factoring in the lack of leg training which is where I suspect a lot of your overall mass would come in due to the amount of muscle in that area. Personally I think it may be too much but other people may have a different opinion.

Yeah, 20lbs is a bunch but I'm sure I could do it with no problems at all if I could manhandle my legs in the gym. I think the other douches where I train would agree on that one, but when I can't attack the legs I'm not sure what kind of outcome it will be. I think I'll have to ask some of the knowledgable wiseguys at the gym to get a good answer.

Repetition Effort Cycle 1 Week 2

Flat DB Press

1 x 12 @ 17,5kg
1 x 15 @ 27,5kg
1 x 15 @ 27,5kg
1 x 15 @ 27,5kg
1 x 14 @ 27,5kg
Improvement from last week, next time I'll do the 30's.

Lat pulldown / Facepull superset

1 x 12 @ 30 / 1 x 12 @ 10
1 x 12 @ 65 / 1 x 12 @ 20
1 x 10 @ 65 / 1 x 12 @ 20
1 x 10 @ 65 / 1 x 12 @ 20
I hate supersets!

Shoulder Press

1 x 12 @ 15kg
1 x 11 @ 20kg
1 x 10 @ 20kg
1 x 9 @ 20kg
Weak :uhoh2:

DB Shrugs / Hammercurls

1 x 10 @ 20kg / 1 x 10 @ 15kg
1 x 10 @ 30kg / 1 x 10 @ 17,5kg
1 x 10 @ 35kg / 1 x 10 @ 20kg

DB Holds

1 x 50s @ 35kg
1 x 45s @ 35kg
I think I'll keep doing these till I can hold them for 1min+ on both sets, then move up to something heavier.

On friday it will be the last ME day of the first cycle, hopefully I'll get a new PB!

After getting home from 8 hard hours at work I had to go to the gym. I wasn't feeling well: Headache, hungry and dehydrated. Due to a recent turn of events I'm not able to chew solid foods atm which has a serious impact on the training. Hopefully it'll be over before next workout.

Maximum Effort Cycle 1 Week 3

ME Benchpress
1 x 5 @ 20kg
1 x 5 @ 50kg
1 x 3 @ 80kg
1 x 3 @ 90kg
1 x 3 @ 95kg
3 x 1 @ 100kg
I felt weak and drained by the 95kg set but I still tried for 100kg. When I couldn't get it I decided to atleast get a little 'volume' and do a couple singles.

Supplement Incline DB Press
1 x 20 @ 22,5kg
1 x 19 @ 22,5kg

DB Rows / Facepull superset
1 x 12 @ 17,5kg / 1 x 12 @ 10
1 x 12 @ 27,5kg / 1 x 12 @ 20
1 x 10 @ 27,5kg / 1 x 12 @ 20
-Slight irritation in my left shoulder

After this I started feeling really sick. I had to assume the fetal position for 10 minutes before I felt like I could continue with the last couple excersises.

DB Shrugs
1 x 12 @ 20kg
2 x 15 @ 30kg
Decided to cut a set of the regular routine in order to make sure I could do my curls.

Cheat Curls
1 x 8 @ 20kg
1 x 10 @ 40kg
1 x 7 @ 40kg
Done! Literally, on the curl warmup set I started seeing black spots before my eyes.

Took a nice long shower and made it home. That's the completion of cycle one, cycle two will be boardpresses most likely.

So, Jesper. Where are those 3 x 220 lbs in BENCH you promised some (read: MANY!) days ago. Three singles isn't gonna cut it, sissy!
