Gone With The Wind movie another classic

Is there a fan here of Gone With The Wind, the classic movie that is touted to be the best? I have seen it twice but I’m still wondering how it became a blockbuster. Maybe I have a different orientation in movies and I don’t go for romance. But surely my parents love that movie and they even mention some lines of dialogue sometimes. All I remember is Tara, the place where the love story had hatched.
