In this video, Will Tennyson drops his usual “healthy order” routine and goes on a full fast food binge. His mission is simple. At each major chain, he orders the single highest calorie item on the menu, no custom changes, and he must use every sauce and side that comes with it. Then he ranks each one on his “Will Worth It” scale, from “would do it again” to “instant regret.”

He starts at McDonald’s in the U.S. for the Big Breakfast with Hotcakes. At 1,340 calories, it looks like a pile of carbs and fat on a tray. The sausage and hash brown hit hard, the eggs taste surprisingly real, but the pancakes and fake tasting honey drag the whole meal down. Verdict: once was enough.

Next is Burger King’s Roadhouse King, a 1,430 calorie tower of beef, bacon, onion rings and sauce. It looks huge and feels even heavier. The burger tastes good at first, with strong barbecue flavor, but halfway through it turns into a greasy overload with too many flavors and no freshness. He calls it tasty but unsafe, and decides it is not worth the calories.

At Subway, he orders “The Beast,” a 1,460 calorie footlong stacked with five meats, double cheese and veggies. It smells like pure Subway and looks outrageous. The mix of meats, cheese and fresh vegetables actually works well, and some bites taste amazing. Even though he cannot really pick out all five meats, he decides this is one heavy fast food item he would do again.

Taco Bell’s 1,730 calorie Deluxe Box brings a chalupa, burrito, taco and nacho fries with cheese sauce. The chalupa is excellent, the taco is decent, the burrito is awful, and the nacho fries with sauce save the box. If you skip the burrito, he says the Deluxe Box is worth it.

Papa John’s Shacaroni pizza loads over half a pound of cheese and extra pepperoni onto an extra large pie with more than 3,000 calories. It tastes like a louder pepperoni pizza with strong garlic dip. Good, but too greasy and heavy compared to a regular pepperoni, so he calls it not worth the extra calories.

Wendy’s Baconator style triple burger impresses him the most for fast food burgers. Fresh tasting meat, lots of cheese, and good balance. He says he would order it again, while admitting it is triple bypass material.

For dessert, the large Royal Oreo Blizzard from Dairy Queen hits him with 51 grams of fat and 151 grams of sugar. It tastes incredible, with crunchy Oreo pieces and warm fudge in the center. He says it is worth it once in your life, but not as a regular treat.

The final stop is Starbucks for a venti mocha cookie crumble Frappuccino at around 590 calories. Will and Katie both love the taste and texture. He calls it “childhood obesity in a cup” but points out that, treated as a dessert, it is a lighter option than the Blizzard. They both agree it is worth it as an occasional treat.

By the end, Will shows that the real question is not how good the unhealthiest fast food items taste, but how they make you feel after a full day of eating them.
