Is having strong bones essential for body building?

I learned that the weight we measure and the results we get is a measure of the bones and not really the fat in the body. This made me understand why a slim person would measure 60kg and another fat looking person will measure 55kg. It was the weight of bones in the body.

So it made me wonder if it is necessary for a bodybuilder to have strong healthy bones first before engaging in workouts. And if that is the case, then we should focus on knowing foods for healthy strong bones.

So is it essential to have strong bones in bodybuilding?
