Then why do they use oil on stage? Because stage lighting sucks? Sorry for my ignorance, I have just never been to a competition...yet. (shooting for the arnold next year)

I think too many coats of the color sits in the muscle separation and muscle fibers are not that clearly visible! Jay clearly has a great deal of muscle fibers visible in these pictures than what was showing on stage... none the less Jay one yeeeaaahhh
