Jorge Linares retains belts against Luke Campbell

Luke Campbell engaged WBA and WBC lightweight champion Jorge Linares to a fistfight. But Campbell’s effort fell a bit short when the Venezuelan won by split decision to retain his championship belts. It was the knockdown in the second round that spelled the difference when Linares hit Campbell with a straight right that sent the British champion to the canvas. Linares improved his record to 43-3 while Campbell fell to 17-2.

I would always take a Venezuelan over a British guy any day. Actually I am not really sure, but something about Venezuela makes me think that they might have a little more fight in them.
