Kali Muscle is back, and this time the message hits harder than any workout.
On February 18th, his 51st birthday, Kali Muscle opened up about the cardiac emergency that nearly took his life just four weeks earlier. The bodybuilding icon revealed he collapsed in the gym during a second workout session, something he rarely does. What followed was a terrifying moment that forced him to confront his health head-on.
Four weeks later, he says he feels grateful to be alive.
After having stents placed to improve blood flow, swelling in his feet and ankles has gone down. His chest feels stable. The biggest issue came from the fall itself. He hit his head hard and suffered weeks of migraines, swelling, and heavy scabbing. A CAT scan with contrast confirmed there was no brain bleed or damage, a major relief after enduring three weeks of pain he rated at 100 out of 100.
Today, that pain sits around a 20.
Kali Muscle also admitted sleep was a major factor. For years he slept only three hours a night, training at 2 a.m. He now forces himself to get six to seven hours. Research consistently links short sleep duration to increased cardiovascular risk, and he believes that lifestyle finally caught up with him.
His new routine reflects that wake-up call.
He starts the day with hot lemon water and cayenne, eats boiled eggs, drinks beetroot juice, pomegranate juice, sour sop tea, and cacao for circulation. Dinner is salmon or hormone-free chicken. No beef. No processed food. No caffeine. Cardio is now mandatory. He plans to follow a push-pull-legs split three days a week with light weights and steady cardio on off days.
He also addressed past steroid use and TRT. Even low doses pushed his testosterone to 1,600. With his genetic predisposition for thicker blood and clot risk, he now questions those decisions and urges others to think long term.
Kali Muscle’s message is simple but powerful: eat clean, sleep enough, manage stress, prioritize cardio, and stop thinking you’re invincible.
