Kasparov to play again

Former world chess champion Garry Kasparov will play again after a hiatus of 12 years. He was world chess champion from 1985 to 2000. He is reputedly the youngest world champion at age 22 when he won the crown from Anatoly Karpov. He will be playing in Missouri but only in the Blitz tournament and not in regular chess play.

I wonder what types of things that a chess player would have to do to try to get back into the game. It makes me think of more traditional athletic sports where the body has to get back into shape, but I bet that the mind is similar somehow.
