Well, the only threat to Dorian in 97 was nasser, who did outsize him...Dorians biggest strength was his back, which was nassers biggest weakness.

I do admit though he wasnt at his best, but i think he still looked good enough to win the contest, regarless of his injuries to practicially everywhere lol

But do you think he really did look that bad to lose the show
