Macarine of the Philippines to cross English Channel

In the middle of August, 2017, the Filipino Aquaman will cross the English Channel to raise awareness on the environmental issues in the oceans and seas. Ingemar Macarine is the first Filipino to attempt in crossing the 21-mile channel which connects the ports of Calais, France to Dover, England. Macarine is a lawyer by profession and a swimmer by vocation.

21 miles is certainly nothing to sneeze at, and it makes me wonder what the records are for these sorts of things. It is always nice hearing that it is for a cause though, and now I am wondering how cold that water is going to be.
