The MDFPA organized its last competition for 2013 on Sunday 8th December at the Cottonera Sports Complex in Vittoriosa. There was a total of 10 lifters participating, including one female athlete and a teenage athlete. Both of these athletes as well as another two were competing in this sport for the first time.
Sean Galea continued his positive comeback to the sport by ending the year with a PB. He now occupies 7th place in the National Rankings with 349.9 Shwatz points. He also broke the -75kg National Record in the bench which had stood for over 4 years.
