Mike Sommerfeld gives fans a rare inside look at the private MYPROTEIN headquarters gym in Manchester during a relaxed but brutally focused post-show leg workout. Even after stepping off stage, Mike stays locked in on recovery, muscle control, and offseason bodybuilding progress.

This bodybuilding video mixes hard training, supplement testing, recovery methods, and behind-the-scenes moments that make it feel personal and real. Mike trains legs with his athlete manager Joe while explaining exactly how he approaches post-show recovery before preparing for the Olympia.

One of the biggest highlights is Mike testing new MYPROTEIN supplements including the officially approved Snickers whey isolate, Cinnamon Swirl protein, Peach Rings pre-workout, Blue Slushie intra-workout, and creatine gummies. According to Mike, the Snickers flavor had to pass approval directly from Mars and Snickers before release, making it one of the most authentic candy-inspired protein flavors available.

During the workout, Mike breaks down:
  • Why he prefers 12 to 16 reps for hypertrophy
  • How controlled reps reduce injury risk
  • Why active range of motion matters more than forcing full range
  • How fascia release and massage gun therapy help muscle activation
  • Why post-show recovery is critical for long-term health
He also explains how many bodybuilders ruin their rebound phase by gaining 20 kilos immediately after competition, while he stays disciplined to protect his heart, digestion, and overall recovery.

The MYPROTEIN office gym may be compact, but it includes:
  • Leg press
  • Plate-loaded hamstring curl
  • Power rack
  • Smith machine
  • Dumbbells
  • Recovery tools
  • Functional equipment
Mike even jokes that he could prep for the Olympia living inside the gym with nothing more than a microwave and a couch.

Fans of bodybuilding, supplement reviews, offseason training, recovery science, and authentic gym content will enjoy this video. The combination of humor, education, and hardcore bodybuilding mindset makes this one of the most entertaining Mike Sommerfeld videos in recent weeks.

I respect how Mike focuses on execution instead of just moving weight. The controlled reps and higher-rep approach clearly work for him.

Watching Mike Sommerfeld crush a post-show leg day at the MyProtein HQ and tease that Snickers isolate reminded me that true off-season progress is all about controlled reps, smart recovery, and avoiding a dirty rebound.

The part about controlled reps over chasing weight really stood out. More people need that reminder.

That Snickers whey sounds interesting, but I stayed for the training advice more than the supplements.
