MMA news not covered by major newspaper

I wonder why the MMA fights are not covered by the major newspapers here. A friend in the industry said that maybe the sports editors of those papers are oldies who don’t really know what mixed martial arts is and don’t watch the MMA fights. They cover boxing, all right, just like in the olden times with full details. Maybe we have to wait for those editors to retire before the landscape of the sports page would change.

I think the newspaper editors just cover the sports people are interested in watching, and sometimes the sport we love the most is not of the interest of others. I have the case of tennis in my country that is not covered either.
