The first Ghost in the Shell movie is actually really good. the entire philosofy of the movies got to me very hard, since I always thought and still think "living creatures" are just really advanced rocks that can self replicate. Don't ask...

I love both the series, and the original movie is on my list of all time favourites. Its thought provoking for more reasons than just the epic proportions of Motoko's rack.
