Ronnie should have retired at the end of 2005.

That prize money is very low compared to other sports.

bodybuilding will never be held in the same league as other sports.. in society bodybuilders are still labeled as freaks, i dont think that will ever change.

4th place $6,500
5th place $4,500

3rd place $8,000
4th place $4,500
5th place $3,500

I still insist that these prizes are S@#%T, these prizes are not in relation with health sacrifices and discipline that a bodybuilder needs to keep in order to be professional. Joe Weider now or death must reorganize and increase the prizes. A bodybuilder and a Mr. Olympia CANNOT live with $100 000 dollars, just compare the amount of money spend in trips, posings, steroids over half of the off season plus all the food.

Come on man.

im just being realistic bro.. i dont even think Ronnie will get top 3 this year.. unless he pulls a rabbit out of his ass, i dont see how its possible for him to even come close to winning this year..

I think that Ronnie will be the next Mr.Olympia due to his retirement, he will be the next Mr. O with condition or not, it will be a present that IFBB and Joe Weider will give him for his outstanding contribution to the sport.

Prize money is shocking! That's why some up and coming bodybuilders who think they have a chance in the sport give up early because they know they'll hardly make a living if they choose to make bodybuilding their career.

But living off the sport is highly unlikely unless your the likes of ronnie coleman if your not then you'll be working a separate job, hell even some pro's work separate jobs just to pay the bills!
