A lot of formulas have come and gone over the years, but Equipoise stood out. The gains were real; I could tell my stamina was getting better, and the risks were harder to ignore than I thought they would be. Some things I wish someone had told me before I thought about running it myself. Because of what I went through during that time, I no longer think about performance improvement in the ways you might think.
Equipoise, or boldenone undecylenate, is an injected anabolic androgenic steroid that was first created for use in animals, mostly horses. In the end, it made its way into the world of performance improvement for humans, where it became known for building lean muscle mass slowly instead of quickly adding water-heavy mass.
It was the one I chose because I wanted steady growth without the gas that other compounds gave me. I was more interested in the promise of cleaner growth and better endurance than in getting bigger quickly. I knew going in that it would lower my testosterone levels and that long-term use could put a lot of stress on my heart.
I kept an aromatase inhibitor on hand to deal with the oestrogenic side effects, but I didn't use it too much because boldenone only changes into estrogen at a slow rate. My main goal was to gain lean muscle mass without retaining too much water, so I didn't add anything stronger.
I also planned my post-cycle therapy ahead of time because I knew that the long ester and longer clearance time after the last injection would make hormonal suppression important.
It took a while for muscles to grow, but when they did, they felt thick and strong instead of swollen. My stamina really did get better, and my blood flow probably got better because my body made more red blood cells. As promised, Equipoise lived up to its "slow and clean" image.
They weren't invisible, though. As an anabolic androgenic steroid, it slowed down my hormones more than I thought it would by the middle of my cycle. I also kept a close eye on circulatory health because hematocrit went up and blood pressure slowly went up. It wasn't scary, but it got our attention. Both the benefits and the costs were real.
I also noticed stress on my heart and lungs. My heart rate was higher at rest, and my breathing got tighter during jogging. My hematocrit slowly went up, which made my blood thicker and made hard sessions feel like work instead of progress. Around the same time, acne showed up on both shoulders.
The real trade-off was that the lean muscle gains were real, but they came with side effects that got worse over time. It got harder to get back on track as the cycle went on.
I didn't expect the hormonal suppression to last as long as it did, and healing wasn't easy or quick. The risks to heart health were more than just numbers on a lab report. I could feel them.
Equipoise looks like a good choice if you want to make slow, good gains. The structural cost is higher than what you get in real life.
Before committing to something that takes months for your body to clear out, I'd look into natural options.
What Is Equipoise and Why Did I Choose It
Equipoise, or boldenone undecylenate, is an injected anabolic androgenic steroid that was first created for use in animals, mostly horses.
My Personal Equipoise Cycle and Dosage Protocol
I took 400 mg of boldenone undecylenate every week for 14 weeks, along with 200 mg of testosterone every week, to keep my body working properly and keep my attention on the EQ. I split up my injections every week so that my blood levels would stay steady during the injection cycle and there would be fewer concentration spikes.I kept an aromatase inhibitor on hand to deal with the oestrogenic side effects, but I didn't use it too much because boldenone only changes into estrogen at a slow rate. My main goal was to gain lean muscle mass without retaining too much water, so I didn't add anything stronger.
I also planned my post-cycle therapy ahead of time because I knew that the long ester and longer clearance time after the last injection would make hormonal suppression important.
Effects I Experienced During My Equipoise Run
Since boldenone is a slow ester, I knew the first few weeks would not be great. Things changed a lot around week four. My hunger went through the roof, my healing got better, and I was able to train harder without getting too tired. It took a while for muscles to grow, but when they did, they felt thick and strong instead of swollen. My stamina really did get better, and my blood flow probably got better because my body made more red blood cells. As promised, Equipoise lived up to its "slow and clean" image.

Side Effects and Health Risks I Encountered
Although the side effects didn't show up all at once, they got worse over time, which made them easier to ignore. Boldenone undecylenate lowered my natural testosterone level faster than I thought it would, which made me tired and mentally dull by week six. The hormonal reduction wasn't very bad, but it lasted longer than I thought it would and was harder to deal with than I thought it would be.I also noticed stress on my heart and lungs.
Is Equipoise Worth It?
Was Equipoise really worth it for me? That's not simple. I liked that the gains in lean muscle were real and happened slowly. I didn't bloat like I did when I used other anabolic androgenic steroids, and my stamina got a lot better. But the trade-offs were worse than I thought they would be.I didn't expect the hormonal suppression to last as long as it did, and healing wasn't easy or quick. The risks to heart health were more than just numbers on a lab report. I could feel them.
