Seeing that the playoff teams are set I would like some predictions on first round winners

East
1. Celtics over Hawks in a sweep
2. Cavs over Wizards in 6
3. Orlando over Philly in 5 or maybe 6
4. Pistons over Toronto in a sweep

West
1. Suns over Spurs in 5
2. Lakers over Nuggets in 6
3. Hornets over the mavs in 7
4. Utah over houston in a sweep

Any thoughts?

im not sure about spurs/suns game i can really see that going either way.
i can see this going 7, but ill take the suns for the fact that they have been building thier team solely to beat the spurs.

also think the hawks will be more competition than people think

And the Suns beat the spurs 3-1 in the season. 2 of those games with Shaq.. the Spurs were lucky last night. They are a great team, but I think it will end with the Suns in the end in 7 games.

I'd like to see the Suns win it all, but I think San Antonio is too good. Duncan is the man in the playoffs. The trade for Shaq was a lousy one, they could have gotten a lot better for Marion than what they did.

I agree, Duncan is the shit. Unstoppable, but all we needed was a good inside presence and Shaq (although not the best anymore) gives us that.
We tried for KG but it didnt pan out unfortunately. Marion is a badass player, but in the playoffs he is shut out. He gets garbage points and is not a play maker like G Hill, so in the playoffs they void him out. So I would prefer Shaq right now over Marion.

Philly won last and pretty damn good 2...with some good runs....what is going on in motorcity?

The spurs will get tired by game 3

Mavs doesnt have the juice to beat the hungy NO team.........

And i think the wiz will push the series till 6

i just wish my nuggets would play some defense they would be a legit threat.

i see it being lakers vs jazz in the conf finals, with the jazz taking it. go to espn.com and look up what they did the 2nd half of the season (especially after getting korver), you'll see they are one of, if not the most sound and complete teams in the L. the east sucks, no drama, Boston will just ass rape everyone and likely take out the jazz in 6 in the NBA finals.

that spurs suns game 1 was RIDICULOUS btw. awesome game. bad ending though. it was in the suns hands, san antonio just caught some major luck. i mean c'mon, Duncan? with a three to tie it? the suns deserve this series. i'd hate to see such a great team such as them never succeed as they should have. they remind me of the early 2000's sacramento kings, awesome team and talent, nothing to show for it, mainly because they just caught some bad luck come playoffs, such as these suns have the last couple years.

MVP: kobe, taking the #1 seed in the west solidifies this to go along with some awesome numbers. CP3 could have taken it had the hornets held on to the top spot. plus (and i know technically this shouldn't count) kobe fucking deserves this. 12 years of outstanding service in the L, it would be a joke if someone as great as him never won it.

I dont think that the jazz would beat the lakers that easily because they cant guard both kobe and gasol....only real defensive player they have is AK23 and he cant guard both.

So i see that you think kobe is mvp? he willl be....but cp3 is more deserving!!

Suns will beat the spurs! they just ahve too....nice comparison to the 2000 kings!
