yeah so brutal, the death came by exhaustion, you couldnt breath being so tired (remember the previous punishment and torture) and hanging by your hands for very long time.., your lunges compressed into your ribs so much, the only way you could do it is stading on your feet, but remember both feet were nailed to the cross, so you choose, breathing feeling the pain in the feet, or no pain but die
