The quarterfinals of the Nottingham Open 2021 saw the favorites in action.
1. Top seed Johanna Konta breezed past Alison Van Uytvanck 6-3, 7-6
2. Seed #4 Zhang Shuai defeated Kristina Mladenovic 3-6, 6-2, 7-6
3. Seed #14 Lauren Davis won over Katie Boulter via a walkover
4. Seed #15 Nina Stojanovic bested Tereza Martincova 6-3, 6-4

The semi-finals of the Nottingham Open saw the brewing match up of top seed Johanna Konta and 4th seed Zhang Shuai. Konta had a difficult time in subduing the fighting Nina Stojanovic in 3 sets 6-2, 6-7, 7-5. In the other semis match Zhang defeated Lauren Davis in 2 sets 6-4, 6-3.

The Nottingham Open ended with the favorite taking home the trophy. Top seed Johanna Konta made mincemeat of the Chinese Zhang Shuai in 2 sets of 6-2, 6-1 as if Zhang did not put up a fight. Konta was just too strong with her serves that Zhang couldn’t find a way for a return shot. It was not a thrilling game but the crowd was ecstatic for their favorite had won the finals match easily.
