I got Crysis to run Direct x 10 on xp
i changed all the cfg files and moved detail level 4 to 3 to high quality
heres a pic, not as good, the difference is astounding.

thats not so true
the stuff in DX10 like parallax mapping
and soft/bump mapping has even been in Doom 3 Mods
its a huge lie, just to get people to buy their vista to run the game

but anyway, here the info to get DX effects in Crysis demo on xp

Copy and pasted from incrysis
you have to do this too all the cfgs, in the cvars folder
just copy the default 4, delete the original 3 with the default 4

Here is an example on how to do it:

You copy the default (4) option which is the first block of text and paste/replace the last block of text with it.

for example the "sys_spec_Particles.cfg"

This thing has been all over the news, more so than any other title in recent memory. Launching it on Halloween was a stroke of genius, and although I wasn't a fan of the first game (or Rockstar itself really) the sheer inventiveness of the violence is worthy of props.

What's with killing the cops though

Its weird why crysis works better on xp than it does on vista. I thought vista was the gaming platform for pcs? I guess not.

I picked up Rainbow Six Vegas for the pc for $5. Such a shitty console port.

yeah morrowind was awesome. i had a character in level 130 or something with like insane amounts of all stats, for me the game ended. i completed every quest and was so powerful no one could beat me. i had like 300 in speed, and with that fly spell it made me able to move across the map in like 30 seconds
