The annual Olympia Superstar Seminar, held the morning of Sunday after the finals rarely make headlines. The Olympia winners speak to a crowd of admirers. This year was unique. The top bodybuilding and fitness competition will return to Orlando, Florida, in the first week of November, Olympia President Dan Solomon announced.
From 1999 through 2019, the Olympia was held in Las Vegas, Nevada, for 21 years. Vegas and the Olympia became interchangeable terms, first for the Mandalay Bay and then for the Orleans Arena. However, COVID-19 shuffled the cards. The Olympia relocated to the Orlando Orange County Convention Center in 2020 and remained there in 2021 to secure a location. The Olympia then returned to Las Vegas this past weekend, where it was presented at Planet Hollywood's Zappos Theater. Everything seemed to be back to normal in Sin City and the bodybuilding world.
Why is the "Super Bowl of Bodybuilding" returning to Orlando after a successful Vegas return? It may need to find a suitable place at the right moment. The Olympia being held the weekend before Christmas could have been more convenient. Olympia is usually held in September or October.
For the time being, all we have information on is that the 2023 Olympia will be held in Orlando between November 2-5.
