One FC bantamweight trilogy -Belingon vs Fernandes

The odds are even in the 3rd encounter of former One FC bantamweight champion Bibiano Fernandes and current champion Kevin Belingon. They are 1-1 in their private scorecard which will be broken in Japan on March 31. Belingon is a heavy striker while Fernandes is an expert grappler with good skills in the ground game. Both fighters are expecting a short fight by submission or knockout.

The heavy blows made the crowd roar but a takedown lessened the excitement. It seems that Belingon was not equipped to fight on the ground that he remained under Fernandes for a long time in round 1 and 2. On the 3rd, another take down from Fernandes had made Belingon desperate by hitting Fernandes' back of the head with elbow. The champion was disqualified and the title was given to Fernandes.
