But the Chinese boxer proved her strength when she got the nod of the judges after 5 rounds. The unanimous decision was bolstered by the knockdown in the 1st round. Nicolini grappled well and tried submissions that did not bear fruit. It was clear that Xiong was the stronger and better fighter.
