"Very" tall?? I would have called him tall, not "very" tall.

BBing is filled with munchkins but we shouldn't start looking at the "average" BBer as being representative of normative distributions, especially with respects to height.

6'4" is tall, not very tall, it would be about the 95th percentile for Caucasian men 20-35yrs. Very tall is the 99th percentile, the basketball players, the guys that are really tall. Very tall are the guys that make average height people look little. I'd say 6'6" and taller for men is very tall as that is 99th percentile range.

I know I'm splitting hairs on this one, but Chewie is obsessed with calling anyone taller than 5'9" tall (Levrone is "tall").

Tim I know exactly what you mean regarding chewie calling people tall, bit obsessed if you ask me. But I do no for a fact that 6'4 is very tall. I'm 6ft and a guy who i know is 6'4 and he makes me feel small whenever i'm with him.

i had already said that i was under the impression that levrone was taller, so drop it..... but it warms my heart that you remember what i had said (though not all of it )
and i would consider 5 11 to 6 2 to be tall, above that is very tall till 6 5 where anyone above that is extremely tall (and freakish)

@ Lance and Chewie:

I'm 182cm (5'11.5") and I would not consider myself tall. I'm about average height for my generation as I see just as many taller people as shorter people. Looking at photos of me standing next to 187-190cm tall people I don't look short, but once people hit that 195cm they do. Just like anyone less than 175 suddenly looks tiny next to me.
