Regan Grimes is officially 8 weeks out from the 2025 Mr. Olympia, and he’s leaving nothing to chance. Training at New Tech Gym, Regan smashed a heavy leg session with Mike Sommerfeld pushing every rep.
The workout kicked off with warm-ups on abductors, adductors, and leg extensions before moving into the main movers—hamstring curls, belt squats, hack press, and single-leg press. Regan’s favorite hack machine was front and center, and you could see him grinding deep into the pain zone with failure-level sets. Every rep was slow, controlled, and designed to squeeze out maximum growth.
At 275 lbs, Regan explained the strategy: hold bodyweight steady while shifting composition, adding muscle while tightening up. The real cut will come around 5–6 weeks out, ensuring peak conditioning two weeks before showtime. With carbs still sitting around 600–650g and sodium high, he’s fueling big training sessions while keeping fullness.
The session ended with brutal BFR (occlusion) leg extensions that had both athletes screaming. Regan joked about the pump even hitting his feet, but the results were undeniable—legs blown up, drenched in sweat, and progress locked in.
Outside of training, Regan’s adding foam rolling, stretching, and ice packs to manage recovery. On top of that, he’s working weekly with Joey on posing—sometimes two hours at a time—making sure his improved physique will be showcased perfectly on stage.
Regan said it best: “Eight weeks out… about eight more quad days to go.” The focus is total precision—training, nutrition, recovery, and presentation. This year, he’s determined to bring his best Olympia package yet.
Forum fam, what do you think—can Regan break into the top Olympia lineup this year with this mix of size, shape, and detail?
