In this video, pro bodybuilder Regan Grimes takes you through his Week 2 chest training in the post-show rebound phase. He begins with a strong pre-workout routine: two meals of cream of rice and chicken, coconut oil for fats, and plenty of water. Then he stacks a fat-burner/pre-workout (Applied Nutrition’s Shred X) with a pump formula (AB Pump) that also supplies creatine.

Regan explains his current focus: his knees still need full recovery, so he’s sidelined legs and concentrating on upper-body growth. He’s shifting from competition mode to a strategic offseason build, aiming to stay lean and avoid a massive rebound. He mentions his goal of around 7,500 steps per day to support this.

At the gym (Pure Muscle Fitness in Burlington), he warms up with cable flyes and takes time to break down form and muscle-path control — for example how setting cables low then pressing upward hits the upper chest. He then moves into heavy dumbbell flat presses: after warming up with 70s and 100s he hits 140 lb dumbbells for reps, emphasizing slow, controlled movement and tracking weights for next week.

Throughout, Regan stresses balance: training like a pro bodybuilder, being a family man and business owner, filming and editing his videos himself. He wants to push hard in his 30s, since he doesn’t expect to compete past 40. After the workout he checks a post-workout meal, mentions a therapy session to keep mobility sharp, and gives brief glimpses into his home-life (fans getting installed, garage shelving, fridge issues).

For the chest pump: he cycles between lower-pec sets and upper-pec sets, adjusting cable and dumbbell angles accordingly. He ends the video with clear visuals of the pump and a promise of consistent weekly uploads for viewers.
