Rockhold vs Romero for the UFC interim middleweight title

For UFC 221 main event in Perth Arena - former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold will be fighting erstwhile number 1 contender Yoel Romero for the UFC interim middleweight belt. Rockhold’s last fight was a 2nd round win over David Branch while Yoel Romero had lost to champion Robert Whittaker in their fight for the interim belt. Whittaker was elevated to be the champion when Bisping relinquished his title to Georges St. Pierre who did not hold onto the middleweight belt. The fight ended on the third round when Romero hit Rockhold with a devastating punch that resulted in a knockout.
