No one deserves anything until they show up on stage.

I'm pretty sure you got my point. I mean, even if Roelly show up on stage looking like he did in his very last show he wouldn't get the place he deserves.

Not at his first appearance.

And ahead of Dex and Branch? Don't think so. Though bit would be great if he
placed in front of Branch.

For me it would be great to see him placing in front of Kai haha.

Squatting 360 kgs?? that's almost 800 lbs

No disrespect to Roelly, he's one of my fav pro's, but those squats+spotters look a bit Kamalish..

Maybe that's just part of the workouts he does, he might just be using big weights and sacrifice a little form to get some good stimulation from such heavy weight, but in the others he does everything perfect. But those actually looked good to me as far as depth. Maybe a tad lower ha

I actually do think so. I don't think that Branch will hit that crazy condition again. And Dex will look the same as always. So if Roelly can make som improvements and be in shape a fifth place will be realistic.
Even if he doesn't come in conditioning like last year's O, he'll still place pretty high just because of the fact he's a big name now with his 2nd place finish. I don't see Roelly topping out any of the top contenders at the O for a while until he brings up his back.

For me it would be great to see him placing in front of Kai haha.

In front of Kai, then he must win ;) haha!

All kidding aside, Roelly can ofcourse do well at the O this year. You never
know until it's over, right?
Phil placed third at his first O (should had been second).
It's all about what everybody brings that day,
love this sport. And even more now when it's so tight between all the contenders :)

He looks MUCH MUCH softer than Kai. Anyway, I still think he has time to get that shape he needs.

To be fair to roelly, thats not a particularly good picture to make condition comparisons... Also, just because kai is looking to be in great shape, doesnt mean its that great of a thing. Remember everyone thought he was behind during his 09 ASC prep and he showed up in his best combination between fullness and conditioning.

I'm a Flex magazine subscriber, and I also buy MD almost every month as well. This month in Flex, Bob Chic and Chris Cormier gave their top ten for the Mr. Olympia. Now as of late, Bob's picks have been less then stellar, so remember that. And as always, everyone has their own opinion, so you have to take it with a grain of salt.
With that said...
Bob placed Roelly 8th
Cormier placed Roelly 9th

btw, Bob said Phil would win the overall, and Cormier said Kai would win the overall. I hate to play the Weider/non weider game. But neither of them picked Jay. I thought that was pretty ironic because Bob has been kicking himself in the ass since he placed Jay so low last year.

I seriously doubt that Roelly is going to place behind Wolf and Freeman. Neither of these guys are able to make the improvements like Roelly. Wolf continues to train like a wuss and Toney is simply too old.

Doesnt someone in this forum train in the same gym Toney used to train in? iirc the person mentioned how light Toney trained... Maybe if he stepped it up he would improve more. But i agree, roelly improves just as fast as phil has.
