he's strong for sure, but i would like to see him bench without the spotter holding the bar. hard to tell how much help he got. and i agree with the posts above. he looke incredible in the offseason and in the weeks leading up to a show. but he's allways way to flat when stepping on stage, especially his legs seems to loose alot of size. he definitely needs a whole new game plan for his next show.

He's heavy as an elefant, he's huge, he can lift one ton, he's awesome, but he is an unsuccessful bodybuilder.

2010 his first Pro competition scoors ? 7, 3,1,13 place
2011 2 year pro 8,2,2,3,9 place and you Call him no succes full?
You all thinking pro is be easy, forget it is hard when you be far From home
My opinion is the BEst BB sitting behind there lap top, pfffff

Don't get me wrong, Sibil, but Roelly's genetics are outstanding, brilliant, BUT he's getting an average 5th-6th place in contests. Other genetic freaks like Ronnie Coleman, Flex Wheeler, Kevin Levrone, Chris Cormier were finishing much higher than Roelly. He's doing good, but not as good as he could, in my opinion.

PS: it's not about his training, he lifts like an animal in the offseason, is just his contest prep, something is clearly not working: he lost a huge amount of muscle in his last 2 contests and his continioning wasn't great.

I respect you, I respect Roelly, but he's not fullfilling his potential, IMHO.

Updates from Roelly are the best ones outhere, they always get me motivated. perhaps its because he is one of the only top pros from Europe and I identify with that, or because your gym is so similar to mine. I really admire YOU and Roelly's work ethic.

MVsf1 sometimes pushes it a little too far, but what he said is somewhat true, he is just saying that Roelly's performance dropped last year and he should be doing a lot better. But hey being a pro is not easy and those things happen, I'm sure Sibil and Roelly are working hard in this very moment to shock everyone next year and grab that O qualify.

as for what happened last year I think there are a number of reasons for that:

1. Obligation to do x amount of shows in his BSN contract (?)
2. Roelly wanting to come too big, and Sibil wanting him to come in the Ny pro lines.
3. Sibil agreed to do Roelly's will.
4. Stress about the jaw problem
5. Stress to put Roelly in shape in the last weeks of prep.

On the first place BSN or MD dont say to do the shows only THE athlete and coach
Seconde i and lott off the judge want to have Roelly bigger(5 kg) on THE right place and with the shape From 2010
Third THE antibiotica is also one off THE problem why THE last 2 shows not going well

yeah I can see that.

What Europa show is Roelly doing next? have you two talked about it yet?
I think it s agreat idea, but with the new scheme of O qualifies I expected those shows in mid year to be stacked with great comeptition all of them trying to grab that first place only ticket.

Oh and one more thing Sibil how do you see Roelly's physique compared to Phil Heath? Can he battle with him? In my opinion Roelly is one of the few that actually can put the size and has the genetics to fight with Phil.

Sibil im not an expert in contest prep like you but it seems to me that the problem seems to rely on the last couple of weeks in the prep when roelly seems to always peak to early and then come in flat and small at the show

Well not always but what about 2010 mr o and this years arnold........what im traying to say is that he always look way better 2 or 3 days out of the contest and not so much on stage

he wasn't flat, but he was not conditioned this is to say a bit soft in some areas. Def. not flat.
