Yes, it was a shock to me when i heard Jay win.

But they both look great and both had the goods on the night to be mr.o so in the end it comes down to the judges opinion on who had the best package.

So I won't be complaining.


I hope Ron tries again next year. Complaining about it won't make a difference. Well done to Jay. All the best to them both for next year and not forgetting the other athletes as well.

It's a sport were they are no or 'scores' or 'times' it is based on opinion and the media so that's the way it went.

you can see that the "ball" is at the top of BOTH lats.
Having said that I've never seen "lat balls" on anyone else ever.
One of the sports scientists here should have the resources to give us the definitive answer to what it likely is.
It may be the lat insertion point with the sheer size of the tendon indicative of Ronnies phenomenal lat strength.
Or some form of localised trauma.

While I can see that Ronnie wouldn't have known about the lat problem as it's barely perceptable, flattened out slightly instead of curved at the top ..... he can't have missed the shortened left tricep belly.

Nearly got sea sick watching the vid but it's so clear that these two guys are way out in front of everyone else. Ronnie looked great and then Jay comes out and he looked insane - width across the shoulders was amazing.
