Why does running exercises take longer to build your leg and feet muscles that in gym exercises?

Harder to make progressively harder and of course the range of motion.

Jogging helps you get leaner and loose general body fats. The calf muscles building needs target oriented exercises.

Most bodybuilders hate to run because they are carrying 30-50 extra pounds of muscle, and that weight puts to much wear and tear on the joints. Also running burns up muscle, but you could include some soft running with your weight training.

It's a little crowdy here but it's a great weather to get some sprints. I hate running when it's hot or too sunny. So, I'm definitely going to get at least a 30 minutes lap under my belt this morning and hit the gym later.

Running and jogging are very good for your lungs and heart mostly, but they do build a bit of muscle in the legs and make your bones stronger as well. In the gym you can really target the muscles more, and work one set of muscles in the leg at a time, like calf raises for your calves. Also target the quads and hamstring muscles as well to build strong legs.

Exactly! If you really want to lose weight quickly, then engaging in running exercises should comprise 80% of your workouts routines.

If you are very consistent with the workouts, within few months, you are definitely going to lose a substantial amount of weight by burning lots of calories.
