Marathoner Louie Sangalang of the Philippines is set to join the North Pole Marathon in April. A tri-athlete, boxer and mixed martial arts fighter, Sangalang will be in alien territory on April 9 because his country is tropical and he has to acclimatize himself with the severe cold weather of the North Pole. Participants will be enduring the subzero temperature in covering the 26 miles of the run.

Being the first Filipino cancer survivor to conquer the FWD Northpole Marathon is an achievement already. He should feel proud and happy since he is the one selected to run on a once in a lifetime race in the coldest place on earth. How cool is that?
