Hi All. Sorry, haven't been around for a few days - Latest is that Serge is OUT of the Coma and now breathing on his own. He still cannot talk and has only limited movement. He is showing some understanding of people talking to him. Hopefully he will make a full recovery but as yet there is still no news of any possible permanent damage. Pierre Lebrun is visiting him again today and will let me know how he is.

I received this Email today from a friend of Serge and wanted to share it with all who know and love Serge Nubret.

Dear Friends of Serge,

Tommy and I are putting together a card to send to Serge from all of his
friends and fans to show him love and support. Serge has been in the hospital since March 18 when he was poisoned at Pascale's apartment and sent
to intensive care toxicology. A police investigation has been going on for the past several weeks to fully examine all who were involved and the cover
up at Lariboisiere Hospital (where Serge had been sedated/drugged into a state of coma/confused trance where he did not recognize anyone for over a
month and could not move or talk). His daughter, Karine, an anesthetist, was the doctor in charge of him. No one was allowed to see him.
When the police became involved, Serge's condition started to improve immediately--less than 24 hours later he started to recognize people again after the drugs/sedation were ceased. He is still unable to talk or move very much. Police District 10 is not giving out much information right now because of protocol/security procautions; some of his family are currently
under investigation.
If you would like to add a message to Serge to lift his spirits, please send
it to me or to Tommy at
lauzon-gadal@hotmail.co.uk and it will be included on a card for him. Before Serge was poisoned, he was in one of the best conditions of his life. His
physique looked similar to and weighed the same as it had decades earlier at
his best. Because he had no heart attack/stroke and his heart/brain MRI was also normal, we are hoping for recovery of memory and health and that there
is no permanent damage from being poisoned, drugged and sedated. Please send him positive energy and prayers.

Hello everyone,

I just phoned the REM Gym in Paris (rue de Rommainville)

The gym attendant who answered was (by his accent) of Carribean French decent.
He was cool enough to ask "what are you phoning about?"

I said:
- Q "Do you have any information about Serge Nubret"
- R"No, nothing new, only that his niece doesn't come here anymore..."
- Q"Did you see him?"
- R"No not recently, last time was 4 months ago,and he's the same as before."
- Q"What do you mean? is he speaking?"
- R"No he's a vegetable, his skin is sagging off the bones, he's not good."
- Q"He's in Hospital, in bed?"
- R"Yes, as I said he's lost a lot of weight and he is in a vegetative state, he's not looking good, no one sees him anymore, he's been in the same hospital now for more than a year"

So, that's the latest new I have (verbal) from one of the gym attendants at the REM GYM in Paris. Type in google REM GYM Paris and it shows the map the address and phone number. I'm in Sao Paulo Brazil, but I was in Paris 1 month ago...I did not see him.
I trained back in 2008 early 2009 at the REM GYM about 10x just to say hello to Serge...

It's a sad thing, but I always remember him as a very classy, cultured person. Great conversation...
