Killzone 2 is probably more your style. The online is sweet and the single player is epic.

you will get a notification. I will add you later tonight, you will be able to see it then.

All your notifications will appear on your friends list in the XMB (cross media bar). If someone sends you a message there will be a little letter symbol over their avatar.

However, just like xbox, you have to be signed into the PSN to get all the notifications and junk.

MGS4 is one of the best games i have ever played. And I have played a lot of games. If you have never played a Metal Gear Before it will take some getting used to. But I highly recommend the game.

As well one of the most underrated games on the PS3 is Uncharted: Drakes Fortune. Uncharted was absolutely fantastic.
