Thats it, Next world cup needs NFL style technology and the referees should be able to watch a replay of what happenned during the plays.

Yeah, NFL halftime is really long and they stop the clock every few seconds not to mention all the commercial time.

Whatever, il just time the next game and see how long it is.

I don't understand why you would be mad if the game lasted a couple extra minutes anyway :dunnodude:

^^ actually if the game goes with the extra time (2 x 15 mins) and the penalties, then it could last @ 2 hours +

Like it was with Paraguay vs Japan. That game lasted for 2 hours + I think.

I think the system in the NFL is pretty good and could be implemented to soccer.

the challenge scheme- 3 (4?) for each side.

you challenge the foul or the absence of it when the game stops. the ref checks in the monitor, if you're right you win the challenge try again and he corrects the mistake if not you only have two challenges now.

I think it's pretty effective and prevents the game from stopping every minute.

^2 challenges, 3 if you get the first 2 right.

I was thinking just have a replay ref always looking when there is a big call (not all fouls because that would be too hard).
Play stops in soccer anyway when there is a goal or a blown whistle negating a goal. In those 30 seconds - 1min they can have a ref look at the play to make sure everything is right. If its right then let it stand, if not then correct it and start play from where it should. I don't think that would add much time at all, if any, to the games.
