Before you all get too critical; I played this sport for a decade. Never have I liked watching it except as a highlights reel.

If you never felt the excitement of a Champions League game in your hometown stadium, I feel sorry for you, it's simply amazing. Of course football is not an aussie tradition, what can we expect for you, right?

Troofles.

"Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger has said "tough cookies" Australia will be giving three-time champions Germany sleepless nights before their World Cup opener, giving them a strong chance of an upset."

Obivously, he doesn't pay much attention to warm up games:bitelip: and Australian injuries...

there is a portuguese football saying that goes like this:

"football is eleven against eleven and in the end Germany wins."

Sorry mate, but it's not portuguese. Johan Cruyff said it.

England vs USA will be a great game and it will only help England tighten up on things but my prediction is 2-1 to England.

Excitement?? So little actually happens that the players have to spend 5mins celebrating every goal with ridiculous showboating.

sorry they dont get points for missing and that they dont wear tight shorts with sleeveless jerseys to show off their lurker tribute arms like your preferred sport tim, not every sport can accommodate disabled athletes like AFL can. Now please, GFTO. Its the world cup for goodness sake. If your not into it you are in the minority!

you could be talking about my team VFC( tough even them have their exciting games from time to time), but football played by top clubs is always exciting.

watch this.

the vid speaks by itself magic Worlcup moments.

or my favourite player (true magic at the beginning)

you have the ref. factor that is a big one.. and I don't know why the new technologies haven't been applied to soccer yet..

but it is the beautiful game, and the most popular in the world. when well played is hardly to beat by any sport.

(I prefer to watch NFL, though I'm a big fan of soccer too. watch my team play at their stadium every week when in season.)
