Not even close, we don't have enough freedom. If we gave all the idiots freedom to fail and not bail them out, sure tons of people would be suffering but they would learn for next time. Now what did they learn? Hmmm, I can buy a house that is $200k more than market value and when I can't pay for that and my H2 I'll just have the government pay for it. Seeing that they only have a ARM loan and haven't paid anything on the principle, why would they care if they get kicked out? They paid pretty much really cheap rent.

cuz i dont think he's that far off on that one. depends what kind of freedom we are talking about here. did too much freedom to do whatever they want in the financial markets contribute to the economic crisis? id say it did. had it been more properly regulated, we may have had a different outcome. freedom to do whatever u want is not always the all overshadowing most important thing imo.

and i know im prolly in for an all out assault on me from the libertarians on this board xD
