Mark Metzger has spent a lifetime sculpting every inch of his physique through fitness and diet but none of it mattered when COVID-19 took hold of his body. "I’m not going to lie. I was a little arrogant about this," Metzger said nearly four weeks after he was discharged from the hospital. "I just didn’t think it would get me. Did I think I was too good for it? No, that’s not the right way to put it but I just didn’t think I would get it." The bodybuilder said he and his wife were diagnosed with COVID-19 in early August and although he tried fighting it off at home, he became too sick and his wife called an ambulance.
